A four-year starter as a forward, Lindner is a two-time Academic All-America First Team member and also made the America East all-league first team three years in a row. She was the third-leading scorer in the league and helped the Hartford Hawks win the America East championship, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth year in a row. In the College Division, ten of the 33 student-athletes selected have a perfect grade point average including Sarah Ridley, the goalkeeper for William Penn University, who was named the College Division Academic All-America of the Year. Ridley led the Statesmen this year towards earning their best record in school history along with an Iowa Conference championship, where she was given All-Conference honors. “The Academic All-America program provides us with a unique opportunity to recognize and highlight the remarkable academic and athletic excellence of today’s students.
