Eric Kloiber Memorial Service Set
Baruch Sports Information Director Eric Kloiber passed away suddenly January 13. Eric was in his first year at Baruch College in New York City.
Beofe spending seven years as the SID at Mount St. Mary’s College in Maryland, he was a graduate assistant in the Tennessee women’s sports information office. In 1994, he received his mater’s degree from Tennessee. In 1991-92, Eric was assistant to the athletics director/sports information director at Rutgers-Newark while also functioning as the information director for the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
Eric won numerous CoSIDA publication awards and was very active in CoSIDA and ECAC-SIDA. He attended Ithaca College, graduating summa cum laude in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in radio/television.
Eric was 35 years old, single and resided in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was originally from the Rochester area, where his parents still reside.
One of Eric’s passions was track and field, both as a fan and amateur competitor where he specialized in the decathlon.
Eric’s dedication, loyalty, creativity and character were well known among those within his profession. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, colleagues and all who knew him.

New York State Thruway south to Cross Westchester Expressway (Route 287). Proceed east on Cross Westchester Expressway to Route I-95 (New England Thruway). South on Route I-95 to Exit 15 (New Rochelle-The Pelhams). Left on US1 (Main Street). Right at second light onto Weyman Avenue. Left at Elm Street (third light). College will be five blocks on the right.
