California Baptist University Sports Information Director Joe Reinsch submitted his resignation earlier this week to take a position with the Lancaster JetHawks, the California League Class-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Reinsch will continue his duties with CBU until Jan. 25, then begin work with the JetHawks as an advertising and tickets account executive.
Reinsch began working for the university in August 2001, replacing the school's first-ever full-time sports information director, Micah McDaniel, who moved on to Azusa Pacific after two years with the Lancers.
A 2001 graduate of Azusa Pacific, Reinsch spent three summers from 1998-2000 working under current JetHawks Vice President/General Manager Mark Helminiak for the Class-A Northwest League's Portland Rockies. The franchise was moved to Pasco, Wash., and became the Tri-City Dust Devils to make room for the Triple-A Portland Beavers in 2001.
Helminiak joined Lancaster Dec. 5, 2002.
