College Sports Information Directors of America

I received an e-mail from one of our football fans indicating one of our players was a finalist for an NCAA Division III freshman of the year award. The fan could not remember where he had seen the item, and my football coach and I are not aware of it. Has anyone out there heard of any such award for Division III football freshmen?
