Neves Takes Over at Baruch
John Neves was appointed as the part-time sports information
coordinator at Baruch College on Monday, November 17, 2003.
The New York native comes to Baruch after working during the past summer
for the 2003 ChampionsWorld Soccer Tour featuring Juventus, A.C. Milan,
Celtic, Boca Juniors and Barcelona. In addition, he also served as a
volunteer press box manager for the Women's World Cup at Gillette Stadium
in Foxboro, Mass.
Neves, a 1994 graduate of Manhattan College and a former student assistant
under Jeff Bernstein (currently at NYU), has also previously worked or
interned full-time for the MetroStars (MLS), the New York Yankees, the
NBA, ESPN SportsTicker, and the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).
He will oversee all work relating to the athletic website, publications,
and promoting of all men's and women's sports at Division III Baruch,
which is located in the heart of New York City.
Neves has been a member of CoSIDA since 1995.
