Bryant Names Jason Sullivan Ass't AD

The Bryant College Department of Athletics has named Jason Sullivan assistant athletic director for communications. The announcement was made by Director of Athletics Dan Gavitt and Executive Director of College Relations Ed Sevilla. He replaces Chuck Sullivan who left Bryant in September to become the sports information director at Harvard University.

Sullivan will oversee athletic communications for Bryant’s 21 Division-II intercollegiate sports and work jointly with the College Relations staff in communicating the college's athletic program to the media and college community.

A native of Dover, N.H., Sullivan comes to Bryant College from the University of New Haven where he was the Sports Information Director for one year and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he was the Assistant Athletics Director for Media Relations for six years after serving as the assistant sports information director for four years.

While at Cal Poly, Sullivan was responsible for coordinating media relations for 20 Division-I intercollegiate sports including writing and editing department publications, handling statistics and historical research, radio play-by-play, and the creation and maintenance of the department’s web site.

A member of the College Sports Information Director’s Association and the Basketball Writer’s Association, Sullivan also taught computer science while at Cal Poly and was a guest lecturer in the university’s journalism department for three years.

A 1994 graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Sullivan resides in Greenville, R.I., with his wife Cheryl.
