Jeff Schaefer, an assistant sports information director at Kent State since October 2002, has been named the school's sports information director, effective immediately.
Schaefer earlier served as SID at Allegheny College (Pa.) for three and one-half years.
Will Roleson, who has served as Kent State’s sports information director the past four and one-half years and worked in the office for the past seven, will resign his position effective June 30.
Kent State Director of Athletics Laing Kennedy announced changes in the organization of the school’s sports information office Dec. 9.
