CoSIDA Family Feud

Hey everybody…thank you, soooooooo much! It’s me, Wink McDowell, and I’m looking forward to seeing my friends at CoSIDA once again! It’s been a few years since I last saw you in St. Louis. After “The SID is Right!” went into syndication, I’ve been busy performing at ski lodge lounges and late night shifts on the Game Show Network. But I’m all excited to see YOU in Cleveland this summer as we debut a new twist on an ol’ favorite, “CoSIDA Family Feud!” This version is something special! We will have four “families” playing in a tournament, families from Division I, Division II, Division III and an NAIA/Junior College team. And YOU have a chance to join in on the fun! As you know from the hit TV game show, survey questions are asked and the top 100 responses are used. We thank many SIDs who have contributed to our survey question list. So, please take a moment to provide an answer to the following survey questions. We will have more survey questions in the next CoSIDA Digest! · Tell us what you love most about being an SID. · What are the most important things to include on your beloved web page? · Name a professional quality that is important for a successful SID. · Name a personal quality that is important for a successful SID. · Name something you should include in a media guide. · Name something parents complain to the SID about. · Name something an SID does for relaxation in their sparse free time. · If a genie came out of your coffee cup one morning and allowed you to eliminate one sport to make your life easier, what sport would it be? · Name something special that you do for your spouse or significant other, whom you never see. · Name something you wish a coach would do for YOU. · Other than a coach, name somebody an SID works closely with. · Name the toughest challenge you have in dealing with your fellow SIDs. · Name the toughest challenge you have in dealing with your local media. · What is your favorite activity at a CoSIDA workshop? · A crisis has hit with a student-athlete, what do you do? Answers should be short and sweet, the first thing that comes to your mind. You may email these responses to my good friend Eric McDowell at: emcdowel@brockport.edu, or fax them to him at (585) 395-2160. If you have ideas for other survey questions, feel free to send those to him as well. And, if you are interested in being a contestant on “CoSIDA Family Feud,” let Eric know! I look forward to seeing all my buddies in Cleveland…Joey Belle is a great friend of mine…Thank you, soooooooo much! Editor’s Note: Joey goes by the name of Albert and has been gone from the Indians for a few years, Wink.
