Fisher Hired at WTAMU
Zach Fisher has been hired as the new sports information director at West
Texas A&M University, effective June 16.
Fisher comes to WT following a two-year stint as assistant SID at Pittsburg
State University in Kansas. The 25-year old Fisher is a native of Billings,
Mont.
He served as a student assistant SID at his alma mater, Carroll
College, in Helena, Mont., prior to his service at Pittsburg State.
"We are fortunate to have a very talented and bright young man to serve as
(West Texas A&M's) SID," said athletic director Ed Harris. "He brings a vast
amount of experience to WT from a college program very similar to ours."
Fisher will be responsible for coordinating the publication of media guides
and game programs, management of the press box, press row and statistics,
and maintenance of the official web site, www.gobuffsgo.com.
He earned a bachelor's degree in communication studies and public relations
from Carroll in 2001.
