The USC Aiken athletic department is proud to announce its new home on the internet, PacerSports.com. The announcement came in conjunction with the launch of the new look site. "We are extremely excited about both the new look to the site as well as the new web address," said Brad Fields, USCA Sports Information Director. "We take great pride in the quality and effectiveness of our web site. It has always been one of the most informational collegiate web sites on the Internet. Now we feel we have added a more aesthetically pleasing look as well as given it a name that will be easier to remember, and thus market." USCA athletics first launched its web site in the mid-90's and its last facelift came prior to the 1998-99 school year. A project that began in the planning stages in January, the sports information office partnered with the office of web development. Jeff Mastromonico, Director of Web Development, designed the site while the sports information department provided the content update. "Recent innovations to our web site have included live stats for home basketball and baseball game plus live audio web casts of home and road events," said Fields. "Those will again continue with the 2003-04 school year." USC Aiken athletics sponsors 11 intercollegiate teams that compete as a member of the NCAA Division II and the Peach Belt Conference.
