The Wofford College athletic department has announced the hiring of Travis Woods as assistant athletic media relations director. A native of Boardman, Ohio, Woods is a 2002 graduate of UNC Charlotte. He worked as a student assistant throughout his time with the Charlotte 49ers, serving primarily as the women's soccer contact. Woods was an intern this past year at Navy. He worked directly with several sports in addition to assisting with the Midshipmen football team. Woods will work with each sport at Wofford while helping maintain the Terriers' web site (www.wofford.edu/athletics). He will be the primary media contact for the Wofford women's basketball team, as well as volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, men's and women's track and cross country, and rifle.
