College Sports Information Directors of America

Mount Olive College has named David Shulimson as sports information director/compliance coordinator. Shulimson’s hiring marks a return to the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference. He served as sports information director at fellow CVAC member Coker College from 1994-99. Shulimson previously served as assistant SID at Rollins College. Most recently, Shulimson spent four years with the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, serving as director of media relations and editor of the organization’s newspaper. At Mount Olive, Shulimson will be in charge of media relations for the school’s 13 varsity sports and one club sport. He will also be responsible for compliance duties. A native of Asheville, N.C., Shulimson graduated from Coker College and earned a second undergraduate degree from University of Central Florida, where he served as a volunteer sports information assistant.
