Wilkins Moves to Quinnipiac

Tom Wilkins has been hired as assistant sports information director, announced Quinnipiac University Director of Athletics and Recreation Jack McDonald

Wilkins arrived at Quinnipiac after a year as a media relations assistant at the University of New Hampshire. While at UNH, Wilkins was the primary contact for men's soccer and men's basketball and assisted with football, cross country and track, as well as the nationally recognized men's and women's ice hockey programs.

Prior to that Wilkins was a student assistant in sports information at Assumption College during his four years at AC. He also ran Assumption Web-Radio Network during his senior year, the program's first year.

Wilkins has also worked with several major championship events including the 2004 Frozen Four, the 2004 NCAA Hockey Regional in Manchester, N.H., the 2004 Boston Beanpot, and the 2002 NCAA Hockey Regional in Worcester, Mass.

He will serve as the primary contact for Bobcats' women's basketball, women's volleyball, men's golf and baseball.

A native of Pelham, N.H., Wilkins was a 2003 graduate of Assumption College in Worcester, Mass., cum laude with a bachelor's degree in communications and history.
