Wife of Oregon SID Dies at Age 49
A memorial service will be held June 3 for Susan Jane Williford of Eugene, who died May 23 of heart-related causes. The wife of Oregon's Dave Williford was 49.
Williford was born Jan. 29, 1955, in Kansas City, Mo., to John and Dorothy White Lea. She married David Williford in Olathe, Kan., on Sept. 3, 1977.
She lived in Canton, Mo., and Des Moines, Iowa, before moving to Eugene in 1985.
She received an associate's degree from Johnson Community College. She worked as dental hygienist for 27 years.
She enjoyed singing and tending to her flowers. She was a member of the Eugene Friends Church, the Motet Singers and a former member of the Eugene Concert Choir.
Survivors include her husband; her mother of Overland Park, Kan.; a son, Bryan of Eugene; a daughter, Diann Williford of Tempe, Ariz.; a brother, Michael Lea of Spring, Texas; and a sister, Cheri Koehn of Cheyenne, Wyo.
Thursday's service will be held at 3 p.m. in the Pittman Room at the Casanova Center at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
