College Sports Information Directors of America

Spring Hill College announced the hiring of Adam Prendergast as
the new sports information coordinator. Prendergast joins Spring Hill after
working in the sports information office at Samford University in Birmingham,
Ala.

“I am excited to welcome Adam to the Spring Hill family,” Director of Athletics
and Recreation Doug Mosley said. “He brings a lot of experience and enthusiasm
to the table and we look forward to working with him.”

During his stint at Samford, Prendergast served as the sports information
contact for the men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and
women’s cross country and men’s and women’s track and field teams.

Prendergast began his sports information career as a student assistant in Auburn
University’s sports information office, where he was the media contact for the
women’s gymnastics team from 1998-2000. He also worked directly with Auburn’s
football and baseball teams, assisting with the day-to-day sports information
operations. His responsibilities also included assisting with the sports
information duties for Auburn’s 17 other varsity sports.

A native of State College, Pa., Prendergast is a 2003 graduate of Auburn
University with a degree in Mass Communications.
