For the sixth straight year CoSIDA established another membership record when a total of 1,960 sports information professions and those affiliated with the profession paid membership dues in 2003-04.
District IV led the way with 309 members. The breakdown is as follows: Michigan 49, Ohio 114, Kentucky 40, Tennessee 58 and Alabama 48.
Close behind was District III with 294 members: Florida 64, Georgia 46, North Carolina 79, South Carolina 39 and Virginia 66.
The top individual state was New York with 123 members, followed by Pennsylvania with 116, Ohio with 114, and Texas with 101. Delaware and Alaska tied for the fewest members with two apiece.
With the annual Workshop heading to Calgary, a record 16 Canadian members joined CoSIDA.
