Cal State Stanislaus Names New SID

California State University, Stanislaus named UC Riverside's Brian
Blank the new Warriors sports information director on Monday.

"We are pleased and very excited that Brian has accepted our offer to
replace Hung Tsai as our sports information director," said Dr. Milton
Richards, athletic director. "Brian's tenure at UC Riverside and San Jose
State has provided him with the type of comprehensive background needed for
this position."

Blank joins the Warriors after a year's stint at UC Riverside, where he
served as assistant director of media relations for the Highlanders¹
15-sport athletic program.

Prior to UCR, he spent two years as a member of the San Jose State
University Sports Information office working with the men's and women's
soccer teams, women's basketball and baseball, in addition to assisting with
the Spartans' 12 other sports.

A graduate of San Jose State University, Blank holds a bachelor's degree in
public relations with a minor in marketing.

"I am excited to be able to work with a quality program with outstanding
coaches and players," said Blank.  "I am impressed with the university and
the community and look forward to being part of the team."

Blank has worked in hi-tech public relations in the Silicon Valley prior to
his appointment with the Spartans and also worked with the San Jose
SaberCats of the Arena Football League.

Blank began his new position on August 13. He replaces Hung P. Tsai,
who left to found Carter-Lee Design, a company specializing in Web site
development. Tsai had been sports information director for three years.
