Al Weston has been named sports information director at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, Scott Eldredge, director of public relations, announced.
Weston recently completed a master's degree in sports administration at Kent University in Kent, Ohio. During his graduate program, he worked as a graduate intern in the Sports Information office at KSU, where he served as media contact for field hockey, men’s golf and baseball.
“Al is an excellent addition to round out our Public Relations department,” Eldredge said. “His expertise and experience will provide excellent opportunities for him at Lock Haven.”
Weston replaces Danielle Barney, who recently accepted an assistant athletic director position at the university.
Weston also received a bachelor’s degree in public relations at Kent State in 2000. He has a wife, Erin, also a KSU grad, and three-month-old daughter Torin.
