Texas State University recently promoted media relations assistant Steve Wilson to assistant director for media relations and hired Renee Felton as a media relations assistant.
Wilson, who started at Texas State in February, came to San Marcos after serving as a graduate assistant at Kansas Wesleyan. A 2004 graduate of Kansas State with a bachelor’s in broadcast and print journalism, Wilson also worked for the Salina Media Group. He was a play-by-play announcer for area high school sports and Kansas Wesleyan football and men’s basketball.
Felton graduated from Regis University in May with a bachelor’s in communication. She completed an internship for the ArenaBowl Champion Colorado Crush, while also working for Regis’ athletics and public relations departments.
