Eiser Promoted to Assoc. AD

Tom Eiser has been promoted to Xavier University’s Associate Athletic Director for Media Relations. Eiser, who is in his 21st year as a member of CoSIDA, is in his 20th year as the director of his alma mater's athletic publicity department. Eiser, who still retains the secondary title of Sports Information Director he has held since 1986, had been an Assistant Athletic Director since 1993.

The 43-year-old Cincinnati native has the primary role of directing the media relations, broadcast production, web site, publicity, publications, record-keeping and research for XU's 16 NCAA Division I sports. He is also involved in the coordination of game management and operations. In addition to his other responsibilities, Eiser is the administrator for the women’s soccer program and this year took on the role as coordinator of the memorabilia displays and historical data for the P. Douglas O’Keefe Athletic Hall of Fame, which will be unveiled at Xavier University’s Cintas Center on November 18 as part of XU’s annual Athletic Hall of Fame induction weekend.

Outside of Xavier, Eiser has worked a long list of NCAA Championships as well as media venues for both the 1994 Men’s World Cup soccer matches and the 2003 Women’s World Cup.

Eiser, a 1984 graduate of Xavier University with a bachelor’s degree in English, came back to Xavier in 1986 after spending the 1985-86 year as Assistant SID at the University of Detroit.
