Eric Scott was named assistant director of athletic media relations on Dec. 1, 2005 at the University of Northern Colorado.
Scott served the previous year and a half as an intern with the athletic media relations office. While an intern, he coordinated the 2004 and 2005 Hall of Fame inductee presentations, produced the 2005-06 women's basketball media guide and assisted in the publicity efforts for all of Northern Colorado's 16 sports.
Prior to attending UNC, Scott was on the staff of national award-winning newspapers for Metro State College (Denver) and Missouri Southern State University. He received second place honors for sports page design at the Missouri College Media Association convention in 2003.
At Northern Colorado, he is responsible for publicizing football, women's basketball, wrestling, softball, men's and women's tennis and track & field.
Scott, a native of St. Louis, Mo. who has lived in Colorado since 1992, graduated from UNC in fall 2005 with a degree in public relations.
