Senior infielder Chris Looze of George Mason University and senior outfielder Eric Cirella of the Salve Regina University head the 2004-2005 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-Americaâ Baseball Teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Looze was selected as the Academic All-America of the Year in the University Division.    A product of Amherst, Mass., Looze is a three-time All-Colonial Athletic Association selection. He was instrumental in the Patriots earning a 35-19 record this season, batting .307, with 14 home runs, 64 RBI and 47 runs scored. Looze is George Mason's career leader in home runs (46) and RBI (201) and ranks in the school's career top 10 in hits (214), doubles (49), batting average (.330), slugging percentage (.625) and total bases (405).

Cirella graduated magna cum laude (3.87 grade point average) with a degree in business administration four days before he and his Salve Regina teammates competed in the 2005 NCAA Division III Baseball Championships.
Besides Cirella, there were five repeat members on the college division team.
