Join us for "The SID Experience," on Monday, July 4 at 11 a.m. at this
year's workshop. This unique "tri-panel" is good for all ages! Whether you
are a newcomer to the profession or a veteran in our business, you will be
able to provide your thoughts and get comments from colleagues that fit
you at this time in your career.
Three panels are scheduled. SIDs with five or less years experience can
join Danny Kambel (Florida International) , Tom Machamer (New York U.) and
Chuck Sadowski (New Haven) in Salon E. For SIDs with 6-15 years in the
business, they can hear from Jamie Weir (Harvard), Judy Willson
(Louisiana-Monroe) and Jamie Zeitz (Jacksonville) in Salon F. In Salon
A-B, SIDs with 16 and more years in the profession will join Steve Conn
(Yale), Justin Doherty (Wisconsin) and Eric McDowell (Union).
Each of these sessions are geared specifically towards that experience
level, with SIDs who are in that experience range. They can relate to you
because they are one of you or have been there before. Each group will
have discussion leaders, coming from the CoSIDA Board of Directors, the
Workshop Committee and the Career Enhancement Committee. These groups want
to know what you are thinking.
Maybe you have a topic that you wish to discuss? If so, there will be two ways to provide us with your questions and ideas:
Look for the Suggestion Box at Registration, Sunday (10 a.m.-3 p.m.) and Monday (the box will be available from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m., while
Registration will continue until 11 a.m. Monday).
Email your question, your name and affiliation, and how many years you
have been in the business, to Eric McDowell at mcdowele@union.edu. He will
forward your comments to the respective panelists.
