Philadelphia is one of five world cities that will host the Live 8 Concerts on Saturday, July 2. For CoSIDA attendees, that coincides with the day before the official beginning of the 2005 Workshop.
The concert will be free and will be held within blocks of the headquarters hotel, the downtown Marriott in Philadelphia. It will be on the same parkway where Elton John and the famous Philadelphia fireworks will be held on Monday, July 4.
For those attendees arriving in Philadelphia on Saturday, please note that downtown traffic could be affected and the trains that run between the airport and downtown sites (including the Marriott) will still be a good transportation option. Other concerts as part of the Live 8 Concerts will be held in London, Paris, Berlin and Rome.
CoSIDA members are reminded that the deadline for hotel registration at the Marriott is Thursday, June 9. The deadline for workshop registration is Friday, June 17.
