Pacific Promotes Pair in Media Relations

The University of the Pacific promoted Glen Sisk to the position of assistant
director for athletic media relations and Ben Laskey to the position of
athletic media relations assistant.

Both Sisk and Laskey were promoted from within the Pacific Athletic Media
Relations department as Sisk was the athletic media relations assistant for
the past two seasons, while Laskey has served as a graduate assistant over
the past two years.

Sisk served as the athletic media Rrlations assistant at Pacific during the
2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons and also was a graduate assistant at Pacific
during the 2002-03 year.

Before coming to Pacific, Sisk spent five years as a stringer for the
Chicago Tribune.  He is a 1998 graduate of Lake Forest College with degrees
in philosophy and politics. Sisk will serve as the primary contact for
Pacific¹s women¹s volleyball team, baseball, as well as men¹s and women¹s
tennis.

A graduate assistant for Pacific during the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons,
Laskey will move into the role of athletic media relations assistant.

Prior to working in the athletic office, Laskey graduated from Pacific with
a bachelor¹s degree in political science in 2003.  He is currently working
to finish his master¹s degree at Pacific in sport science.

Pacific has also hired Jeremy Fletcher and J.D. Fox as graduatessistants
for the 2005-06 season.  Both Fletcher and Fox graduated this summer from
Drake University with a bachelor¹s degree in communication.
