James Wagner Joins Holy Family

Holy Family University has announced the hiring of James Wagner
as its sports information director. He joins Holy Family from a similar position
at Widener University in Chester, where he served as SID for one year.

Wagner becomes the first SID in school history at Holy Family. He will be
responsible for media relations for all ten varsity sports at Holy Family. The
Tigers are a NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Central Athletic
Collegiate Conference.

In addition to his time at Widener, Wagner was also the sports information
director at Albright College and spent three years as a student assistant in the
sports information department at Susquehanna University.

Wagner has a vast background in both newspaper and radio. Before arriving at
Widener, he was sports editor at the Lewistown Sentinel in Lewistown, Pa., and
also served as a reporter at The News-Item in his hometown of Shamokin, Pa.

His radio background includes time spent in Sunbury, Pa., as a reporter for
WKOK-AM and the host of the Friday Night Football Final on WFYY-FM in
Bloomsburg. He was also a sportscaster for WISL AM/FM in Shamokin. He will make
his return to radio in 2005 as a color commentator on the Black Diamond Sports
Network, covering Southern Columbia football.

While at Susquehanna, he served in various roles, including station manager, at
WQSU-FM which served as the campus' radio station. A 12,000-watt station, WQSU
is the third largest college radio station in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

A 2001 graduate of Susquehanna University with a degree in communications,
Wagner is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America
(CoSIDA) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference Sports Information
Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA).
