Capital Claims McCarthy as Ass't SID

Capital University announced that Sam McCarthy has been hired as assistant sports information director.

“I am pleased to add someone with Sam’s experience as an NCAA Division III student-athlete and working in a sports information office,” commented Leonard Reich, Capital’s sports information director.

McCarthy graduated this past May with a Bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa.  He was a three-time letterwinner and two-time All-North Coast Athletic Conference outfielder for the Gator baseball team and spent his senior year working in the sports information office.

At Capital, McCarthy, a native of Murrysville, Pa., will aid in all facets of sports information for the Crusaders’ 18 varsity teams and approximately 400 student-athletes.
