ORU Makes Staff Moves After Rogers' Departure

Oral Roberts made two moves in its Athletics Media Relations Office.

Cris Belvin, associate director of media relations for the past four years,
has been promoted to director of media relations. Belvin succeeds Cory
Rogers, who resigned to take a job with Glaxo-Smith-Cline pharmaceuticals.

Belvin came to ORU in September 2001 after serving four years as sports
information director at Stetson University in DeLand, Fla. Belvin will
serve as the primary contact for men’s basketball and baseball, and will
relinquish the bulk of his women’s basketball and baseball radio
play-by-play duties. He will remain as the host of the weekly ORU Coaches
Hour, which runs November through May on Sports Radio 1430 The Buzz.

Also joining the Media Relations staff on a full-time basis is former
intern and 2004 ORU graduate Matt McLeod, who served last year as the
department’s intern. As the assistant director of media relations McLeod
will handle the day-to-day media responsibilities for volleyball and women
’s basketball.
