The
College of Saint Rose has named Brianna LaBrecque as the assistant sports information director. LaBrecque will assist with all duties in the Saint Rose sports information department including publishing, media relations, game management, Web site maintenance and statistics.
LaBrecque is a 2003 graduate of Quinnipiac University where she received a bachelors degree in mass communications.
LaBrecque was most recently the director of corporate communications at The Star Group in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., where she handled all graphic design duties, including print advertisements and billboards, as well as Web site maintenance and the writing and distribution of press releases. LaBrecque was also a key component in securing The Star Group with a multi-year contract to handle all marketing and sponsorships for both the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute athletics department and the ECAC Hockey League.
Prior to her position at The Star Group, LaBrecque spent a year as an athletic media relations assistant for the University at Albany. At UAlbany, she was responsible for handling all publicity for several teams, including baseball, field hockey and track and field. LaBrecque also spent a year as a graduate intern in the Office of Athletic Communications at Lafayette College where she gained valuable experience in the field of sports information, representing the womens basketball team.
While a student at Quinnipiac, LaBrecque worked as a student assistant for two years in the sports information department where she assisted with the production of media guides and game programs while handling several game-day management tasks.
