Alabama has named Doug Walker associate athletic director for media relations.
Walker was Notre Dame's sports information director for football for the past three years after spending four years as Miami's football contact, including two as sports information director.
He replaces Alabama's longtime media relations director, Larry White, who is moving to another position in the athletic department.
"Doug brings a wealth of experience at the highest levels of collegiate athletics and we are excited to have him on board," Alabama athletic director Mal Moore said Tuesday.
