Blair Named Mid-South SID of the Year

Bryan Blair, Campbellsville University's sports information director, has been named the recipient of the Bill Sergent Award as Mid-South Conference Sports Information Director of the Year.

Blair has been the SID at Campbellsville since the fall of 2003 and is also the play-by-play voice of CU's men's and women's basketball radio broadcasts.

The SID award is named for longtime University of the Cumberlands Sports Information Director Bill Sergent.

"It's a real honor to be recognized by the other SIDs in the Mid-South Conference in receiving the Bill Sergent Award as the SID of the Year," Blair said.

"After being the SID at Campbellsville for the past three seasons and working with other SIDs throughout the nation, the Mid-South Conference has some of the very best sports information directors of any league.

"For them to collectively honor me is something very special to me.

Blair, in addition to his duties at CU, serves as the SID for the National Association of Intercollege Athletics (NAIA) Region XI which is comprised of schools fromthe Mid-South Conference and TranSouth Conference.

Blair was director of broadcast services at Campbellsville University from 1993 to 1997. He came back to work at TV-4 in 1999 and became sports information director in 2003.

He is married to Connie Rogers Blair, and together they have five children, Tyler, Lance, Chase, Cassidy and Caylie. Blair resides in Lebanon, Ky.
