Troy Katen has been hired as sports information director and men's basketball assistant coach at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo.
The Fairfield, Neb., native spent the previous five seasons as a men's basketball assistant coach and men's golf coach at Hastings (Neb.) College. Katen also earned his master's degree there.
Katen also has coached at Kansas Wesleyan -- where he earned his bachelor's degree and lettered in basketball, football and baseball -- Dakota Wesleyan and in the United States Basketball League.
Katen and his wife, Stacy, have two children.
