Davis Takes Over as SID at Heartland Conference

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) announced the hiring of Ryan Davis as their new Sports Information Director.  Davis will be replacing Tom Daeger, who left the conference after a five-year reign as SID to take the same position with the Great Lakes Valley Conference in Indianapolis.

Conference Commissioner Tom Bohlsen stated, Even though the conference is sad to see Tom (Daeger) leave the conference, we wish him well in his new position.  As the GLVCs first full-time SID we know, from experience, Tom will do an outstanding job.  Bohlsen added, Im confident Ryan will build upon the excellent foundation that Tom Daeger has left behind.

Ryan Davis was a 2004 graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, where he called the IU mens basketball games for the Indiana University student radio station.  During the summer of 2003, Ryan served as an intern for the HCAC.  Following his graduation he worked his way up the ladder at the Indianapolis ESPN radio station, WXLW-950 AM, from an intern to holding the night and weekend shifts.

Ryan is an avid sports fan and has stated he is very pleased and excited to be able to return to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference and looks forward to serving the HCAC athletic community.
