Rhonda Lundin, who has worked as an assistant at Arizona State and Kansas State, has been named director of media services for Nevada's athletic department.
Lundin, who was hired as an assistant at Nevada in the fall of 2005, succeeds Jamie Klund, who resigned earlier this summer to pursue other interests.
"We are fortunate to have someone like Rhonda on our staff," said Kurt Esser, Nevada's associate athletics director for marketing and communications. "Her experiences at BCS schools give the Nevada athletics department another quality team member."
Lundin was at Kansas State from 1998-99 and Arizona State from 1999-2005. She also served as the media coordinator for the 2005 NCAA Women's Basketball First and Second Rounds and the 2000 and 2003 NCAA Women's Golf West Regionals.
A native of Hillsboro, Ore., Lundin graduated from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in 1996. As an undergraduate, she spent two years as a student assistant in the NU media services office and later was an intern at the University of Minnesota.
