Le Moyne SID Donlin Joins PrestoSports

PrestoSports has named college athletic media relations veteran Mike Donlin to its staff as an Operations Specialist.  Donlin will join the company on April 2, 2007. His primary role will be to educate and train both current and new clients. Additionally, he will be involved with new site set up, feature development and testing with a focus on PrestoSports' institutional clients.

"We could not have found a better fit," said PrestoSports President Serge Knystautas.  "Mike has the right balance of technology and sports information experience that will enable him to really impact our clients in a positive manner.

Donlin comes to PrestoSports from Le Moyne College where he served as the Sports Information Director since December of 1999. Donlin has publicized the colleges athletics department, which includes 14 NCAA Division II teams and two Division I programs, through a period of unmatched success. In the past seven years, Le Moyne has garnered 21 NCAA tournament berths and the mens lacrosse team captured the schools first two national championships.

An active member of the colleges Web Advisory Committee and its Integrated Marketing Committee, Donlin has spearheaded three redesigns of the college athletics web site, including its current incarnation at www.lemoynedolphins.com a site powered by PrestoSports.

I am grateful for the opportunity to join PrestoSports at this exciting time in its history, Donlin said. Theyve offered us innovative solutions which not only made me more efficient, but more importantly helped us raise the profile of Le Moyne College athletics. In addition to his responsibilities at Le Moyne College, Donlin has served on the ECAC Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA) Executive Board, the CoSIDA Academic All-America Committee and ECAC Division II Championship Committee.

A graduate of Colgate University with a double concentration in English and History, Donlin was named the recipient of the ECAC-SIDA Bill Esposito Award in 1998. He earned a Masters degree in Education from Le Moyne College in 2005.

Donlin began his career in athletics at his alma mater. At Colgate, Donlin was an undergraduate assistant, intern and Assistant Director of Athletic Communications under CoSIDA Hall of Famer Bob Cornell. At Colgate, Donlin was also a starter at third base for the schools final two seasons of intercollegiate baseball.

A native of Vestal, N.Y., the 31-year old resides in Cazenovia, N.Y. with his wife Nicki and their son Jack (1).
