ECAC-SIDA Creates Pete Nevins Award for Distinguished Achievement

The Eastern College Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA) Executive Board has unanimously approved the creation of the Pete Nevins Award for Distinguished Achievement. The announcement was made on June 7, 2007 at the annual ESPN ECAC-SIDA Awards Dinner in Baltimore.

The award honors the long-time East Stroudsburg Sports Information Director who was a legend in the industry for more than 30 years before passing away in 2007.

The award will be presented to an individual in recognition of their advancement of the field of athletic communications and advocacy for intercollegiate athletics.
