Prendergast Named Director of Athletic Media Relations at ULM; Hendrix Promoted to Assistant Director

ULM director of athletics Bobby Staub announced today two personnel changes in the department's media relations staff.

Adam Prendergast has been hired as the Director of Athletic Media Relations and Jeff Hendrix has been promoted to Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations. Both moves are pending the approval of the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors.

Prendergast has been the Assistant Director for Athletic Media Services at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C., for the past two years, where he has been the primary contact for the Camels football and women's basketball teams as well as overseeing the department's web site. Prior to Campbell, he was the sports information director at Spring Hill College for one year, served as a sports information intern at Samford University and as a student sports information assistant at Auburn University. He is a 2003 Auburn graduate with a bachelor's degree in mass communications.

Hendrix served last year as a graduate assistant on ULM's athletic media relations staff. He previously was a sports information student assistant at Oklahoma State University, from which he earned his bachelor's degree in public relations in 2005

"We're very pleased to add Adam Prendergast to our staff," said Staub. "He impressed us with his technical skills and thorough understanding of sports information dynamics. Jeff Hendrix identified himself as the best candidate for our No. 2 spot through hard work and dedication. I believe with Adam and Jeff we've formed a team that will provide leadership, talent and stability to our media relations staff."
