Green Bay Director of Athletics Ken Both of announced today the hiring of Drew Harris as the department's Sports Information Director.
Harris arrives in Green Bay after seven years at Texas Christian University, where he was most recently the contact for men's basketball and men's golf. He also has served as the primary contact at TCU for women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's swimming and women's
golf.
"We are excited to have someone of Drew's caliber and background to lead our sports information department," said Bothof. "His experience and coverage of several different sports while at TCU, including most recently men's basketball, will make him a great fit for Green Bay Athletics."
Prior to his appointment at TCU, Harris gained public relations experience with the Kansas City Wizards of Major League Soccer. He also served as a media relations intern for the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs.
The 31-year-old Harris graduated from Iowa State University in 1998 and was a double-major in journalism/mass communication and political science.
A native of Peosta, Iowa, Harris and his wife Rachel have a son Grant (2).
