The Samuel T. Lambert Post 3020 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars announced that 1991 Rider graduate Brian David Solomon (Accounting/History) received the Delran Township VFW Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) of the Year award in April, 2007, the Burlington County District 11 VFW EMT of the Year award in May, 2007 and the New Jersey State VFW EMT of the Year award in June, 2007.
Solomon, in his seventh year as the Assistant Sports Information Director and webmaster for www.gobroncs.com at Rider University, is an 18-year volunteer EMT, the last 14 with the Delran~Riverside Emergency Squad and was recogized for his squad's efforts helping to rescue five people trapped in a house fire in Riverside, New Jersey in August of 2006.
