NJCU senior Jose Fulgencio enters the 2008 season with an active 27-game hitting streak. I know it's the longest current streak in Division III based on data from last year.
Does any player in Division I, II or NAIA baseball have a longer active streak than 27 games?
Furthermore, has anyone in any Division had a relative of a former major leaguer post a longer hitting streak? Fulgencio is the nephew of Rafael Santana.
