Roleson to Serve on Multimedia Panel at NACDA Convention

Will Roleson, Associate Commissioner for Communications and Multimedia at the Horizon League and At-Large member of the CoSIDA Board of Directors, will be joined by executives from CBS College Sports Television, ESPN, Jump TV, and the Big Ten Network on a panel moderated by CBS broadcaster Bonnie Bernstein at this summer's NACDA Convention that will discuss the challenges with creating and distributing sports content online and on television.

Slated for the morning of June 11, 2008, at the NACDA Convention in Dallas, the panel promises to be a lively discussion that will help attendees have a better grasp on how colleges and universities can get the most out of their TV and online distribution deals.

"Will is one of the leading experts in the field because he has walked the walk with the Horizon League and has turned it into one of the nation's best examples on how conferences and schools can take control of their content," says Ken Kerschbaumer, editorial director for the Sports Video Group, an industry trade association. "His insights and those of the other panelists will be a wake-up call to some and validation to others."

Topics for the panel include how schools can begin producting their own events, finding and creating new revenue streams, using online sports content as a way to drive alumni donations, and much, much more.

Other panelists include:
Burke Magnus, Senior Vice President - College Sports Programming, ESPN
Tim Pernetti, Executive Vice President - Content, CBS College Sports Television
Leon Schweir, Executive Vice President, Big Ten Network
Nada Usina, President, Jump TV
