Hardin to Present Results During FAME Meeting at 2008 CoSIDA Convention
Marie Hardin, who interviewed women in sports information at the CoSIDA convention last year about job satisfaction, will present her results at the 2008 CoSIDA Workshop in Tampa during FAME's meeting on Sunday, June 29 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Room 12 at the Marriott Waterside.
Hardin, associate professor of journalism at Penn State University, is associate director of its John Curley Center for Sports Journalism. She teaches classes in reporting, editing and sports media.
Her research concentrates on diversity, ethics and professional practices in sports media. Hardin's recent research explored winners and losers in news coverage of Title IX and whether female sports journalists have gained acceptance.
Hardin received her Ph.D. in 1998 from the University of Georgia. Before completing her Ph.D., she worked as a newspaper reporter and editor; she has also worked as a freelance magazine writer.
