Last year, CoSIDA celebrated its 50th anniversary. Our history as an organization is well documented and well respected. We have played a major role in intercollegiate athletics in various capacities - media and public relations, sports information and publicity, promotions and educating to name a few.
Also this past year, CoSIDA hired John Humenik as its Executive Director. John's passion for the profession and his global view thinking has given CoSIDA a direction for the future as he has taken the lead on a Strategic Plan for the future of our organization. John, along with several members of the board, put together this document to build a path to the future for CoSIDA.
I encourage all of our members to read this document and come to Tampa ready to discuss the objectives of the plan. One of my favorite sayings is, "don't bring me problems, bring me solutions," and this document, in my opinion, tackles issues head-on and gives our organization a road map to the future.
