TAMPA, Fla. – Members of the CoSIDA Publications Committee presented hundreds of awards from 62 separate contests on the final day of the 2008 CoSIDA Convention, culminatuing a year-long process.

More than 140 colleges, universities, and conference offices were honored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for “Excellence in Publications” on Wednesday at the 51st annual CoSIDA convention in Tampa.
For Division I athletics, UCLA led the nation with 15 citations, including four “Best in the Nation” honors for its softball, rowing, men’s water polo, and women’s water polo media guides.
The University of Kentucky and the University of Oklahoma received 14 honors each, while Louisiana State University (13), Texas A&M (11), and the University of Notre Dame (10) followed.
In Division II, Gene Cassell and Jeremy Wangler of Washburn University received 11 citations, including five “Best in the Nation” honors for the football, women’s volleyball, women’s soccer, men’s basketball, and softball brochures, and “Best Cover” for the women’s volleyball media guide.
Tyler Cundith of Johnson County Community College led Division C with 13 awards, including five “Best in the Nation” honors for the women’s soccer, women’s basketball, softball, men’s golf, and track media guides, and a “Best Cover” honor for the women’s volleyball postseason guide.
