Kulish Named Sports Information Director at Stevens
HOBOKEN, N.J. - On Thursday morning, Stevens Institute of Technology Director of Athletics Russell Rogers announced the hiring of Rob Kulish as the new Sports Information Director at Stevens Institute of Technology.
Kulish, who spent the last year as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Division I Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., will oversee all sports information duties for the Department of Athletics. Graduate Assistant Rich Coyne will remain on staff and serve under Kulish this year. Assistant Director of Athletics for Administration Brian Granata will now step away from his sports information responsibilities but will handle a variety of other tasks, including event management, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Duckling Program, etc.
During his time at Marist, Kulish was the primary contact of ten Red Fox teams and worked closely with all 23. Seven of the ten teams he was the primary contact for won Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships and four went to the NCAA's. Kulish was also a secondary contact for the Marist women's basketball team that was ranked in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.
Prior to Marist, he worked as a University Assistant in the Western Connecticut Sports Information Department where he was the primary contact for baseball and secondary contact for softball and men's and women's lacrosse.
His interest in sports information began in 2005 when he was forced to prematurely retire from the Lafayette College baseball team because of injury. In order to stay involved with the team, he helped the sports information department with baseball responsibilities and slowly gained more responsibility as the year progressed. Since that point, Kulish has been involved in the field and is looking forward to continued growth and responsibility at Stevens.
Kulish graduated from Lafayette in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Law.
