Segaloff and White Named Communications Assistants at the Big East Conference
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Commissioner Michael Tranghese has announced the hiring of Farrah Segaloff and Dan White as communications assistants with the BIG EAST Conference. |
"We are happy to add Farrah and Dan to our conference communications staff," said Tranghese. "They both possess outstanding communication skills and come to us from highly regarded universities.”
Segaloff comes to the BIG EAST from the University of Massachusetts, where she spent three years as a student assistant in the athletics media relations office. She served as a media contact for the Minutemen’s track and field and hockey programs. She also has worked as an intern with the New England Sports Network, assisting with the production of the Boston Red Sox pregame and postgame shows.
A Needham, Mass., resident, Segaloff is a 2008 graduate of UMass with a degree in sport management. She will serve as the primary contact for field hockey, baseball, track and field and golf with the BIG EAST. She also will assist with football and women’s basketball.
White joins the BIG EAST after serving as an intern and undergraduate assistant in the sports information office at the University of Louisville. He worked with the Cardinals’ men’s soccer program in 2007, accompanying the team throughout its run through the BIG EAST and NCAA tournaments and has worked extensively with Louisville’s online broadcasts in baseball, volleyball, softball and field hockey. He also has been a contributing writer and photographer for The Anderson News.
White, who hails from Lawrenceburg, Ky., is a 2007 graduate of Louisville with a degree in sport administration. He will be the primary contact for volleyball, softball, cross country, swimming and diving, tennis and rowing at the BIG EAST and will also assist with football and men’s basketball.
