CoSIDA Community is live online for you to share your ideas and experiences with your fellow
CoSIDA members.
One requirement for
CoSIDA Community is the imperative that
CoSIDA membership communications online are conducted in a secure environment.
CoSIDA Community is designed as a one-stop resource for all
CoSIDA online activity, with a goal of streamlining communications such as nomination forms and biographical profiles, dramatically reducing the amount of e-mail in your inbox (especially if you are a member of a
CoSIDA committee).
It’s not intended to replace the public CoSIDA web site. In fact, this tremendous new “gated community” enhances your CoSIDA membership benefits with compelling content and timely information added daily by you and your colleagues. CoSIDA members can create a discussion thread, write an article, and share your thoughts with your peers in CoSIDA’s own “social network.”
In addition,
CoSIDA Community provides a valuable set of tools for those who are new to the business as well as those who have made sports information a career.
College Fanz worked in partnership with
CoSIDA to develop
CoSIDA Community over the past four months in an engaging collaboration with a number of your colleagues and fellow
CoSIDA members representing a diverse group of the membership. All of the feedback from the focus groups was incorporated for your benefit.
This exciting and valuable web site is only available to CoSIDA members, and provides a secure, password-protected environment in which all of CoSIDA can continue dialogue and discussions above and beyond our annual CoSIDA Convention.
It opens up a new world of social and professional networking and ongoing dialogue that’s just for CoSIDA members.
CoSIDA Community has a wealth of tools and features, including discussion threads on a variety of topics, a growing
CoSIDA Document Repository and an archive of pertinent articles. There are also blogs, polls and articles written by members on various issues that affect each member personally and professionally.
With the support of Nick Joos
(2008-2009 CoSIDA President), John Humenik
(CoSIDA Executive Director) and Jamie Joss
(CoSIDA Director of Online Services),
College Fanz has developed what one of our early adopters described as “the most professional web community I’ve ever seen.”
We invite you to start visiting the
CoSIDA Community immediately, and see how you can start participating and letting your voice be heard.
