NOMINATION EXTENSION: Academic All-America® Hall of Fame nominations extended until Friday, October 30th

NOMINATION EXTENSION: Academic All-America® Hall of Fame nominations extended until Friday, October 30th

The deadline for the 2010 Academic All-America Hall of Fame has been extended until Friday, October 30th. Nominations must be completed by 9:00 p.m. EDT Friday evening.

Please be sure to submit a nomination that you may have started but not completed.

There are two types of nominations: those who were Academic All-Americans during their collegiate competitive tenure and those who are in the "Honorary Inductee" category.

Induction is set to take place in San Francisco in July 2010 during the CoSDIA Convention. The nominations are being done on-line again this year.

You will have access to the nomination form until Friday, Oct. 30, and you can start a nomination, save it and open it again to fill in any information; this is a CoSIDA nomination feature available only on the Academic All-America® Hall of Fame nomination. You will need your CoSIDA login and password to access the system as with the Academic All-America®  program.

Please submit all of your nominations in the on-line form available at www.cosida.com/aa.

New in 2010
Once you are in Academic All-America Hall of Fame system, you will have two options.

1) First, you may make a new nomination.

2) Second, you can work on previously submitted nominations. In the second section, if you nominated a student-athlete for the 2009 Academic All-America Hall of Fame, that nomination is available for you to update.

Once a student-athlete is nominated for the Academic All-America Hall of Fame, his or her nomination will remain in the system. Please make sure to click on "submit" once completed. There are a number of nominations currently saved but not submitted.

Honorary Inductee Nominations
The Academic All-America® Committee is looking for Honorary Inductee Nominations. An Honorary Inductee is a person who, or an organization which, has made a significant contribution to the Academic All-America Committee, Teams or Hall of Fame. The honorary designation may be awarded to a former scholar-athlete whose collegiate career pre-dated the Academic All-America program in his/her particular sport. The eligible candidates' academic and athletic achievements must meet minimum criteria for selection to the Hall of Fame.
