Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award New CoSIDA Corporate Partner

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced today that Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award has become a corporate sponsor and partner for the 2,500 member national organization. The Award, sponsored by Lowe’s and presented to college seniors who excel both on and off the playing field, will begin its new sponsorship and partnership agreement at this June's annual CoSIDA Convention in San Antonio and it will continue throughout the entire 2009-10 academic year.

The Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award recognizes student-athletes from nine sports (men’s and women’s basketball, football, baseball, softball, hockey, lacrosse, and men’s and women’s soccer) for achievement and excellence in the classroom, community, character, and competition.

“CoSIDA is thrilled to have the support of the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award,” said 2008-09 CoSIDA President Nick Joos. “The Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award and CoSIDA are winning teams as we are both dedicated to promoting intercollegiate athletics’ best and brightest.”

“The Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award has grown into the nation’s premier award for senior student-athletes,” said Gary Heise, President of Premier Sports Management, the company that manages the awards program. “Much of that success has been because of the enthusiastic support from Sports Information Directors from around the country who have embraced this award. Our team works with SIDs on a daily basis and we want to show our gratitude by partnering with CoSIDA. Our hope is that this partnership will further enhance the working relationship between our staff and SIDs.”

Lowe's is a new addition to the CoSIDA Corporate Partner Program. They now join ESPN, Internet Consulting Services (ICS), CollegeFanz Sports Network, DigiPix Art, the NCAA, CBS College Sports TV Network, TRZ Sports and Sports Systems, Inc. as $7500 and above CoSIDA corporate partners for the 2009-10 year.
