Collegiate Images Becomes New CoSIDA Corporate Partner

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) has announced that Collegiate Images L.L.C, the nation's leader in licensing and distribution of college sports digital video content, has become a corporate sponsor and partner for the 2,500 member national organization. Collegiate Images, which in 2008 became part of the newly formed XOS Digital, a division of XOS Technologies, Inc., will begin its new sponsorship agreement at this June's annual CoSIDA Convention in San Antonio and the partnership agreement will continue throughout the entire 2009-10 academic year.

Collegiate Images, which helps its partners (universities, conferences and bowl organizations) manage, license, distribute and protect their valuable digital content with its state-of-the-art digital asset management system, will provide sponsorship support for CoSIDA’s 2009 convention. In addition, Collegiate Images will provide legal advice and direction to help protect CoSIDA’s intellectual property rights and offer guidance in the areas of intellectual property rights for its members.

“Collegiate Images has become a highly prominent name and advisor in the intercollegiate athletics ranks as it relates to protecting intellectual property rights,” said 2008-009 CoSIDA President Nick Joos, Senior Associate Athletics Director/ External Affairs at Baylor University. “Their new corporate sponsorship and partnership arrangement with CoSIDA is an ideal fit for both groups and we are looking forward to their involvement with us in variety of ways in the future."

"Teaming up with CoSIDA is a natural extension of our robust relationships with the nation's top universities and conferences," said CI's Executive VP John Christie. "CoSIDA has been well known as a leader in college sports and we look forward to working closely with this highly respected organization."

Collegiate Images now joins Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award as first-time corporate partners for CoSIDA. They join the following organizations that have renewed their corporate partnership with CoSIDA for the 2009-10 year: ESPN, Internet Consulting Services (ICS), College Fanz Network, DigiPix Art, CBS College Sports TV Network, the NCAA, TRZ Sports and Sports Systems, Inc.
